I switched out my XR2 comcast remote for a XR5 control from their store. Went thru the 17 different codes listed in the comcast pairing sheet. 5 codes returned the double green LCD light blink and the remaining 12 codes showed red then green indicating an “incorrect code”. Why? these codes are shown on the comcast pairing sheet and were entered correctly into the unit. How can they be “incorrect”? The code 10178 was accepted by the XR5 remote (double green blink) but did not turn off/on the TV. The code 10178 in the XR2 remote does correctly control the on/off/mute TV functions. Why does the 10178 code work correctly in the comcast XR2 remote and not work in the similar XR5 remote? All remotes are new from comcast with fresh batteries.
