I have a GE universal remote and I succesfully paired it with Amazon Fire TV without codes. Here is how you can do it:
- Press the Power button on the Fire TV to switch it ON manually.
- Get your universal remote and hold the SETUP button for 5 seconds.
- Release it and press the TV button on the remote one time.
- Now press and release the Power button on the remote every 3 seconds.
- Repeat this until your Fire TV turns OFF.
- When your Fire TV switches OFF immediatelly press the TV key on the remote again to save the code.
That’s it, you have succesfully programmed your remote to the Amazon Fire device.
